Senior Spaces was founded by Heidi Owens and Randi Carter, two professionals whose careers — and personal experiences — have always centered on caring for people.
Heidi had a long career in skincare/biotech and her journey into senior placement began during a difficult and deeply personal time. After her father suffered a stroke, her family was suddenly faced with finding the right care — quickly. What followed was a frustrating experience with national call centers that felt impersonal and overwhelming and relentless sales calls and emails. Relief finally came when they connected with a local senior advisor who truly listened and helped them find a wonderful home for her dad. That experience stayed with Heidi and inspired her to become the kind of empathetic, hands-on partner she wished her family had from the start.
Randi’s path began years earlier in the senior living world. With a background in nutrition, she started her career as a dietary coordinator at Covenant Shores on Mercer Island, working closely with residents and care teams. She later went on to build her own meal delivery business, serving healthy, nourishing meals to families and seniors throughout Seattle.
“I always loved working directly with seniors,” Randi says. “I’m so happy to return to this industry and serve seniors again.
Together, Heidi and Randi created Senior Spaces to offer families something they know truly matters — calm guidance, local knowledge, and a compassionate partner during what can be one of life’s most stressful transitions. Their goal is simple: to help seniors find homes where they feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for.
